How do the various
horizontal press brake models differ?
Basically in the power in Tons. It is therefore necessary to know the
type of material, thickness, and dimensions of the piece to be folded in
order to determine the type of horizontal bending press most suited to the
type of processing.
Does the maximum horizontal press brake stroke differ according to
model?
Certainly. The maximum stroke of the mobile punch is 8" in the
smallest model, going up to 13" in the larger models.
Is it necessary to carry
out the calibration of the hydraulic pressure upon first installing
horizontal press brakes?
Absolutely not. All horizontal press brakes are properly calibrated
during testing by authorized personnel. No adjustments should be carried
out on the machines unless previously authorized by the company.
Is the horizontal bending
press supplied
with hydraulic oil? If not, does the quantity of oil vary according to
model and which brand is most suitable?
The presses are supplied with hydraulic oil only if this is specified
at the time of ordering. The quantity of oil varies in accordance to
machine power and any brand is suitable as long as it conforms with the
class indicated in the Oil Table in the instruction manual.
What is the horizontal
press brake input voltage?
All machines have been designed to function with a voltage of 240
volts and a frequency of 60 Hz. A maximum tolerance of +/- 10% is
permitted; a voltage above or below that tolerated could damage the most
sensitive machine parts and therefore it is advisable to check.
What equipment is
necessary to carry out very tight "U" folds?
As opposed to the normal folds, which require the die- and
punch-holder supports plus the die and the punch, the punch-holder support
is not required for "U" folds as the U punch functions as the pivot.
What types of press
bending can be carried out with the "U" punch?
The word is self-explanatory; this punch can bend pieces for camber,
as well as creating very tight U-bends and boxes which would be impossible
for a standard punch due to dimensions of the punch-holder support.
How do I judge which die
to use for the press bending of a flat bar?
It's straightforward, the height of the material allows me to
determine the height of the die, which the thickness multiplied by 8
allows me to determine the slot size. For example to fold a flat bar which
is 4-3/4" high and 25/64" thick I would use a die which is 4-3/4" high.
What is the press bending
capacity of the rotary tube bender and the beam pipe bender?
The maximum bending angle is 180° for the rotary tube bender
and 90° for the beam pipe
bender.
What is the maximum
punching capacity of the punching tool?
The maximum thickness is 25/64" but can vary according to the type of
material and the dimensions of the hole.
What is the maximum press
bending capacity of the 4-slot die and the slot dimensions?
The maximum thickness is 5/32" and the slot dimensions are 5/8",
55/64", 1-3/8", and 2".
