| The variable angle notching machines are
available in three versions: the AV series, which includes the AV\B
and AV\PA, the LC series and the AV180. All models boast a solid
structure, a shearing head in GS500 fusion with downwards movement,
and the workbench is fitted with conical slots for housing of the
squares. The conical form of the slots has been designed especially
to give greater rigidity to the squares to guarantee greater
precision. The different models of variable angle notching machines
offer a great variety of choice, both in terms of cutting capacity
(thicknesses between 1/32" and 3/8") and cutting angle (from
30degree to 180 degrees).

The most important characteristic
is the automatic adjustment (SIMASV Patent) of the slack between the
blades from 1/32" to 1/4" in thickness. The cut starts from the tip
of the base of the blades, and blade adjustments are made
automatically between the upper and the lower blades, allows
simultaneous cutting of different thicknesses.
All models in this series are equipped with
hydraulic blade blockage. The AV/PA version is predisposed for the
mounting of a punch head for carrying out drilling, beading,
nibbling, shutter slits, straight cuts and so on. There is also the
option of activation the cutting or punching unit via the special
reversing button.
The LC series, with variable angle from 30 degree
to 135 degree, boasts a robust C-shaped structure capable of
supporting even sizeable loads. In fact it is one of the few on the
market capable of cutting sheet up to a thickness of 3/8",
guaranteeing perfect cutting even on elevated thicknesses. The
mobile group is well guided and blade slack is adjusted mechanically
via two pawls set at the front of the machine.
Subject of a Simasv patent, the AV180 degree
series is the only machine on the market with a cutting capacity of
up to 180 degree without moving the sheet metal from one angle to
the other, and it is for this very characteristic that it lends
itself to use in automatic lines and in CN. The shearing head in
GS500 fushion is mounted on 4 anti-flexion columns and the robust
supports on the head and under the workbench guarantee absolute
machine rigidity. The direct frontal reading of the cutting angle
avoid laborious calculations between the blades and the squares |

Simply put a SIMASV sheet metal notcher is the
highest quality and versatile sheet metal notcher on the market, period.
As far as sheet metal fabricating equipment is concerned SIMASV sheet
metal equipment offers superior machinery for a great value. Our sheet
metal notcher line consists of twelve different models demonstrating the
companies willingness to provide solutions to several specific market
requests.
Main Features:
● The thing that sets our corner notchers
apart from other sheet metal equipment out there is our patented blade gap
adjustment that allows the operator to cut different thicknesses without
any adjustments needed by the operator. This allows our blades to last
longer and gives us a nice burr free cut.
● Our machines shear with the blades in the
negative position as well as the positive position. Which one you use is
based on which part you want to keep, the finished part pulled from the
machine (best is Negative) or the dropped piece (best is Positive).
Negative cut allows for less deformation on the finished part. Negative
cutting clamps the sheet metal down so there isn't any movement. Positive
cutting will want to move the sheet away from the stops allowing for room
for error.
● The stop guides have dove tail grooves in
the tail that allows for a tighter more secure guide setting, allowing our
machine more accuracy and repeatability.
● The shearing head is the most rigid in the
industry because we employ a five point fixed head. A stable shearing
head is very important to blade life, and machine life when notching
heavier plate.
● Regarding our variable angle notchers, the
variable angle blades are fixed in three positions. The pivot point and
the end points of each blade is fixed after adjustment to angle is made.
This type of rigidity separates us from other sheet metal fabricating
equipment on the market.
● Our notcher with punching capabilities has
the punching station in the front of the machine. Many other brands have
the punching station in the back of the machine that means you have to
waste valuable floor space, because you can't put the machine against a
wall. Punching stations in the back of the machine also brings up safety
issues to the table. With our notchers you can rest assure that you have
the safest option and use the least amount of floor space.
● Our notchers drop the waste into a chute and
the chute drops the waste in a bin outside of the machine. Believe it or
not, there are some machines on the market where the dropped material goes
into a bin in the middle of the machine making the operator have to bend
into the machine to take out a heavy bin of scrap to throw out. Thus our
machines offer a more ergonomically friendly machine for the operators
back.
● Our variable angle machines can notch from
30°
up to 140°
(Model AV 180°
can notch up to 180°).
We can shear a 140°
notch in one pass with one drop, some other machines require two cuts
resulting in two drops.
● We offer notchers that can shear up to 3/8"
thick mild steel, with blades up to 9-3/4" long.
● We offer fixed angle and variable angle
notchers with or without punching capabilities.
